The Internal are riverbed that cover the state internally, among which we find Sarare river, Arauca, Capanaparo and Orinoco river, for all this water resources the tourist will enjoy the big fauna diversity and the same time will meet a part of our population, offering the opportunity of living and fell the hospitality of this people.
GALLEGOS ROUTE
As the name says it: by part, it was used for our famous writer; “Don Romulo Gallegos” to get to the Paso Arauca, a place where he takes all the necessary data to writer his novel “Dona Barbara”. Extending Norht- South sense from San Fernando de Apure to Puerto Páez, embarcing a total of 209 kms, crossing the National Park Capanaparo-Cinaruco (Santo-Luzardo).
This park, with an extension of 584.368 has. It represents one of the spaces with more potentialities for ecotourism and adventure tourism, because it allows to combinate the possibilities of Terrestrial and fluvial transport to its journey, getting in the Venezuelan Amazonian, Conjugating of this way a contrast among Sabanas and forest.
During the summer time, the park counts with a worderful summer resort of crystal waters; La Macanilla, La Pica, La Guardia. But when these summers resort disappear because of the winter, some new ones appear in this route; La Soledad, Rio Claro and some others with no specific name. On weekends, you can find places to taste the delicious ternera or carne in vara, like others typical food.
LOS LLANOS ROUTE
It start in San Fernando of Apure and it extends in west direction through Biruaca, Achaguas, Muñoz, Rómulo Gallegos Minicipals, their capitals are; Biruaca, Achaguas, Bruzual, Elorza. The same counts with 290 kms of journey that offers to the tourist an unique experience.
Through this route we pass by the Tierra del Nazareno. Achaguas and we move on to the south, we´ll get to El Yagual, location for a battle (El Yagual) that contributed reach up our independence. After El Yagual, we move to the captivating Guachara, with their old streets and their native residents.
ALTO APURE ROUTE
Starting in Elorza, it extends in East-West sense and covers a total of 33 kms to El Nula population, located in the reserve San Camilo, and 237 kms to Guacas. This whole route represents the beauty of the Andean Pie of Monte, Where it conjugates the flatlands with mountains, creating landscapes with a lot of fauna and green view.
Rally Nuestros son Navegables
“Us rivers navegables” is an international competition of velocity, a great view, emotions and sporting spirit makes presence through its journey, starting in San Fernando de Apure city till get to Malecon of San Felix in Ciudad Guayana.

History of Apure
It was founded February 28, 1788 on the banks of the Rio Apure, Apure River, by Don Fernando de Miyares González, the Governor and Capitán General of Barinas Province, New Granada, with the assistance of Don Juan Antonio Rodríguez and the Capuchine monk Fray Buenaventura de Benaocaz. On December 1, 1793 it was elevated to the status of a town (Villa).
San Fernando History
San Fernando de Apure is a city in the state of Apure in Venezuela. The population of the municipality area is 175.056 (est. 2001). The Eighteenth Century exports included heron feathers (for pens) and animal hides.

Achaguas History
The town of Santa Bárbara de la Isla de los Achaguas was founded in 1774 by Fray Alonso de Castro, and its name was taken from the native tribe "The Achaguas". Since 1835, the miraculous wood-carved figure of "El Nazareno de Achaguas" is venerated in the town's church. This figure was a donation that General José Antonio Páez gave to the town in agreement to the victory obtained in the battle against the Spanish for the independence of Venezuela which was to take place inCarabobo.

Biruaca Municipality
